ABOUT THE LEAGUE

Shasta Roller Derby

A skater-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit flat track roller derby league based in Shasta County, California. Founded in 2010, we are a member league of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and are committed to growing the sport of roller derby in Northern California.

OUR MISSION

Shasta Roller Derby’s mission is to actively foster and sustain a community of flat track roller derby through exceptional sportsmanship, strong athleticism, and goodwill.

Our aim is to empower individuals within our community by challenging them mentally and physically, both on and off the track.

OUR VISION

Shasta Roller Derby envisions a sustainable and accessible roller derby community in Shasta County where individuals can participate in a physically demanding team sport, build meaningful connections, and experience long-term personal growth.

Code of Conduct

Shasta Roller Derby is committed to providing a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone attending our events.

All spectators are expected to treat guests, volunteers, event staff, skaters, coaches, and officials with respect and to conduct themselves in an appropriate and ethical manner.

This Code of Conduct applies at all Shasta Roller Derby–endorsed, sponsored, and co-hosted events, including bouts, scrimmages, tournaments, and community events.

By entering an SRD event, spectators agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

Shasta Roller Derby values diversity and is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all attendees feel respected.

In alignment with the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Code of Conduct, harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes conduct based on, but not limited to:

  • Race, ethnicity, color, religion, or national origin
  • Age
  • Physical or mental disability
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity or expression
  • Parental, pregnancy, or marital status
  • Political affiliation
  • Military or veteran status
  • Mental health status
  • Socioeconomic status or background
  • Neurodivergence or neurotype
  • Physical appearance

Event staff will intervene when necessary to maintain an environment where spectators, athletes, officials, and volunteers can participate safely and enjoy the event.

Spectators who do not follow this Code of Conduct may be subject to consequences including:

  • Removal from the current game or event
  • Suspension from future SRD games or events
  • Permanent revocation of entry to SRD games and events

Refunds will not be issued to anyone removed from an event for violating this Code of Conduct.
